Terms of Service
Last updated August 11, 2026 · Operated by Emmanuel Alcorin Valdez (DentGeniePH)
These terms cover the DentGeniePH assistant on Messenger and Instagram, the online booking page, and the dashboard your clinic's staff sign into. By messaging a clinic's Page, booking through it, or signing in, you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, call or visit the clinic instead — you lose nothing by doing so.
1. Read this part even if you skip the rest
DentGeniePH is not a medical service and does not give dental advice. The assistant is a booking and enquiry tool. It does not diagnose, does not prescribe, and does not decide your treatment. Every clinical decision is your dentist's.
It is not for emergencies. For severe bleeding, facial swelling, difficulty breathing or swallowing, a knocked-out tooth or a serious injury, go to the nearest emergency room or call your clinic directly. A message here may not be read for hours.
2. Who is providing what
- DentGeniePHEmmanuel Alcorin Valdez provides the software. We are not a dental clinic, we do not employ your dentist, and we do not provide dental care.
- Your clinicProvides the dental care, sets its own prices, hours, services, reservation fees and cancellation rules, and is responsible for your treatment.
Your care is a matter between you and your clinic. We are not a party to it and cannot settle a clinical dispute for you.
3. Booking through the assistant
- A booking is a request until the clinic approves it. The slot is held for you, but the confirmation is what makes the appointment real. You get that confirmation by email and on the channel you booked from.
- Give accurate details. Your name, birthday and contact number are how the clinic finds the right record. A family that shares one mobile number should still give full names, otherwise reminders and payments can be matched to the wrong person.
- Tell the clinic about allergies and medical conditions. The assistant records what you tell it; it cannot know what you leave out.
- Slots are first come, first served. An unpaid hold expires on its own and the slot returns to the calendar.
4. Reservation fees, payments and no-shows
- The clinic sets the reservation fee, and it is paid to the clinic, not to us. We do not hold your money.
- The fee is credited to your bill. It is a deposit against your treatment, not an extra charge.
- If you pay by screenshot, the assistant reads the amount off the receipt and the clinic verifies it. If you paid less than the required fee, the clinic decides whether to accept it — you will be told either way.
- HMO bookingsmay waive the reservation fee, at the clinic's discretion. Bring your HMO card and a valid ID; coverage is verified by the clinic with your provider, not by us.
- Refunds, rescheduling and cancellation windows are the clinic's policy. Ask them before you pay.
- Missing appointments has consequences. After repeated no-shows a clinic may require a deposit before your next booking, or require you to book by phone or in person instead of online. That is the clinic's call, applied through the software.
5. Messages you will receive
Booking through a clinic means it will message you about that booking — confirmations, reminders the night before and on the day, changes, and follow-ups after treatment. These are part of the service you asked for.
Recall notices and promotional messages are separate. Reply STOP at any time to end those. Doing so never cancels an appointment and never stops a confirmation.
6. Using the service properly
You agree not to:
- Book under someone else's name without their knowledge, or make bookings you do not intend to keep.
- Send abusive, threatening or harassing messages to clinic staff.
- Upload files that are not yours to share, or that contain another person's records.
- Attempt to reach another clinic's or another patient's data, probe the service for weaknesses, or automate access to it.
- Use the service to break Philippine law or the terms of Meta, Google or any other platform it runs on.
A clinic may block online booking for an account that abuses the service. We may suspend access that threatens the security of the system or the safety of staff.
7. For clinics: your subscription
- Your data is yours. Patient records, appointments and documents belong to your clinic. We process them on your instruction. On termination you get an export before we delete our copy.
- You are the Personal Information Controllerfor your patients. You are responsible for collecting consent, for the accuracy of what you record, and for answering your patients' data requests. We support you as your Processor — see the Privacy Policy.
- You are responsible for your staff accounts. Remove access when someone leaves. Do not share logins between people — the audit trail is only useful if it names a real person.
- Fees, plan inclusions and billing are set in your subscription agreement. Features depend on the plan you are on.
- You keep your own Facebook, Instagram and Google accounts. If you disconnect them or their tokens expire, the assistant stops being able to reply, and that is outside our control.
8. Availability, and what can break
We work to keep the service running, but we do not promise uninterrupted service unless your subscription agreement says so in writing. The service depends on Meta, Google, Supabase, Vercel and our automation host — when one of them is down or changes its rules, parts of the service stop working until they recover.
Do not treat a reminder as a guarantee. Messages can be delayed or blocked by the platform delivering them. If an appointment matters, confirm it with the clinic.
We may change, add or remove features, and will give clinics reasonable notice of a change that removes something they rely on.
9. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent Philippine law allows, Emmanuel Alcorin Valdezis not liable for clinical outcomes, for a clinic's acts or omissions, for a missed appointment caused by an undelivered message, or for indirect or consequential loss such as lost income or lost goodwill.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to a clinic is limited to the subscription fees that clinic paid us in the three months before the event.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for wilful misconduct, or for anything that cannot be limited under Philippine law — including obligations under RA 10173.
10. Intellectual property
The software, its design and the DentGeniePH name are ours. A clinic gets the right to use the service while subscribed — not to copy, resell or reverse-engineer it. Content a clinic puts in — its logo, prices, service list and documents — stays the clinic's, and it grants us only the permission needed to run the service for it.
11. Changes to these terms
We update the date at the top of the page when these terms change. For a material change, clinics get notice before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes go to the courts of the city where DentGeniePH maintains its principal place of business, without prejudice to your right to bring a data privacy complaint before the National Privacy Commission.
If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
